MAC Algorithm with QoS Guarantee in Wireless Mesh Networks

Aiming at the short-term priority problem in Wireless Mesh Networks(WMN),a medium access control algorithm with Quality of Service(QoS) guarantee is proposed.By suspending transmissions of low-priority traffic when traffic load is heavy,the proposed algorithm can provide more opportunities of channel access and QoS guarantee to high-priority traffic.Simulation results show that comparied with the IEEE802.11e EDCA,this algorithm can reduce the delay of real-time traffic and improve the throughput.
