Study on image compression methods in deep space communication

In this paper,the methods of still and motion image encoding for deep space are discussed,and 2-D image compression method-the establishment of JPEG2000,its core algorithm,characteristic and frame is emphasized.Meanwhile,the standards of JPEG2000 and JPEG are compared by simulation.
