Standardization of author number in the call number of Chinese books and its improvement

The problems in classification of Chinese books,such as not using the unified author number table and random use of auxiliary symbols,were analyzed following an analysis of the use of author number in the call number of Chinese books.Certain methods were suggested for the standardization and improvement of author number in order to use the unified book call number.
