Application of Global positioning system in electric power substation

The paper presents the elementary principle of the timereceiver in substation automation,in direct protection to microcomputer and in the process of automation device receiving time. It proposes a novel approach by making use of Global positioning system receiver and AT89C55 Single Chip microcontronller to realize the time receiving in substation automation. It also gives out the software and hardware design of the clock system, and introduces that the antijamming measure of the PPS signal of GPS in this colck system,and the ahead sending technology at COM port.
