Discussion on construction of Comprehensive Asset Management Information System for business depots of railway regions

Locomotive Depot,Engineering Depot,Rolling Stock Depot,Communication and Signaling Depot,Power and Water Supply Depot were set up in each railway region to manage the rail assets and operation.In current information scheme,the equipment,the power of technology,the funds as well as the management,etc,were established decentralized,which could hinder the development of information extremely.The paper proposed to establish regional information center and to implement a Comprehensive Assets Management Information System for all depots in the railway region by introducing EAM(Enterprise Assets Management) technology.
