Impulse noise de-noising based on wavelet transform modulus maximum

A new method of impulse de-noising is proposed based on wavelet modulus maximums.Because of its large value the wavelet coefficients of impulse noise are modulus maximums which would decrease while wavelet decomposing scale increasing,so we can reduce these modulus maximums to remove impulse noise.This method is also effective for white noise because its modulus maximum has the same character with impulse noise's.
