Application of Improved Genetic Algorithm to the Search of Optimum Route for Intelligent Vehicle Navigation System

Exploitation of intelligent transport system is one of the best ways of settling transport problems. It has aroused our great concern. In this thesis, we have put forward a new method of Genetic Algorithm that is through carrying on SGA(simple Genetic Algorithm) operation to combined individuals of population at first, we get a primary optimum value. Then, carry on operation of SGA to this primary optimum by dividing it into small parts. The method can lead to faster way of searching optimum route. And also it is an improvement of SGA.
