Aiming at the problems existed in process of metadata management and application,a novel metadata management and application system is proposed. The system architecture and mechanism of level division are introduced. The storage and management of metadata are implemented by using JAXB technology and O/R mapping framework. The record of metadata is visited and retrieved by using HQL query language.MVC mode is used for the implementation of a prototype metadata search application.Experimental results show this design scheme is effective and feasible.
