The Xiaohekou Reservoir is a medium scale reservoir and its chief functions are irrigation and flood control.Based on the design of the danger-preventing reinforcement project,the principle about building the dams' safety monitoring system is put forward in the paper.Then,according to the feature of the Xiaohekou Reservoir,the system construction of the dams' safety monitoring system is put forward.At last,several questions should be attended are listed after the system runs practically.
