Automation of cross-sections processing in physical model test

Based on the physical model test of the regulation project for Tuqiao waterway at the lower reaches of the Yangtze River,some related softwares which could be directly applied to collect the field data and control the section of physical model were presented in this paper.The process of section drawing was automatically accomplished by the software.Through the graphics conversion,the information was outputted to the engraving machine.Then the cross-sections of the physical model test on the panels were cut off automatically.The graphics files can be saved for a long time and be used repeatedly.
