Construction and Application of a Small English and Chinese Parallel Corpus

A small English and Chinese parallel corpus is very useful for language teaching and learning, cross-language studies and translation. The present author has built up a corpus of six million words. This paper is intended to introduce some of the techniques in its construction and demonstrate the uses to which it could be put to.
