Observation on effects of Adalat combined simvastatin and Betaloc combined simvastatin in treatment of cardiovascular events

OBJECTIVE To investigate the differences of Adalat combined simvastatin and Betaloc combined simvastatin in the treatment of hypertension.METHODS 60 patients with essential hypertension were randomly divided into two groups for the treatment of hypertension.A group was treated with simvastatin combined oral Adalat;B group was given simvastatin combined oral Betaloc,and followed up 6 months to observe the occurrence of coronary events,and incidences of blood pressure,cholesterol and cardiovascular event rates in two groups.RESULTS After treatment,blood pressure,blood lipids before treatment were significantly decreased in two groups,the difference was significant,statistically significant P﹤0.05.The incidence of coronary events in oral Adalat and simvastatin group was 6.7%,which in simvastatin combined oral Betaloc was 26.7%,there was a significant difference P﹤0.05.CONCLUSION Adalat combined simvastatin is better in reducing the incidence of coronary heart disease,comparing with Betaloc combined simvastatin.
