Survey and Analysis of Open Access in Chinese University Humanities and Social Science Journals

Based on 55 university journals listed in three versions of CSSCI journal directories since 2008, according to the function modules of university journal website and the concept of the open access, the paper sets up evaluation standards,for example, the basic information function, open access function, information service function, OA platform storage. Based on these standards, the paper closely investigates the situation on the website's building and open access. It shows that university journals are superior to other categories about open access in humanities and social science filed. However, huge gaps exists among the journals, especially, lack of effective maintenance and real-time update. At last the paper makes suggestions on model construction and funding in open access.
