Liver CT Image Texture Feature Analysis Based on Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix

The texture feature extraction of image is a foundational work for image recognition,image data mining,content-based image retrieval,etc.This paper proposed a method to extract liver CT image texture feature based on improved gray level co-occurrence matrix.First,the region of interest was confirmed.Next,a new GLCM which can reflect the information of each angle was constructed.Finally,the texture features were extracted based on the improved GLCM.The experiment conclusion shows that the proposed method for liver CT image texture feature analysis is fast and efficient.The experimental results provide valuable reference for extraction of texture features of other kinds of images.
