A production management and decision supporting system based on GIS in distribution networks

This paper brings forward a production management and decision supporting system based on GIS in distribution networks,which forms the system structure in the manner of Client/Server.The system not only offers customers a friendly operating platform based on GIS,but also integrates some advanced applications of electric power system into the operating platform.Therefore,the system can achieve the aim of scientific management of production,reducing cost,saving energy,and increasing reliability of distribution system.The paper mainly introduces the design scheme and the key technique of each part of the system.And the system,which mentioned above has been test run in Mentougou Electric Power Supply Corporation with satisfactory operation.
