Application and Research of XML Data Storage Method

With the rapid increase of semistructured data over the Web,the extensible markup language(XML) is becoming the dominant standard for data representation and exchange over world wide Web.Efficient XML document storage has become a core data management issue.In this paper,discuss existing approaches to XML storage,and analyze their advantages and disadvantages respectively.Finally,a case of an educational resource database system is presented to illustrate how to realize XML data storage.
