An Analysis on Non-standar dized Writing of Abstracts for Research Papers

Shi Yancha · 2015

Non-standardized writing of abstracts for research papers is a very ubiquitous phenomenon. The problems include writing abstract as introduction, the confused use of grammatical persons and over indistinctness of the information given. Apart from the journal editors' lax requirement, the problems in criteria for standard abstracts are also factors which give rise to the phenomenon. Non-standardized abstracts have a negative effect not only on reading efficiency but also on transmission efficiency of academic information. It is thus very necessary for journal editors to eradicate non-standardized abstracts by strict requirement and reflecting on the related criteria.
