Directional sound(or audio beam) is a revolutionary way of producing directional sound to listeners,which creates virtual sound sources by using the nonlinear interaction and self-demodulation of ultrasonic in air.The principle and contents of a directional sound system are introduced,and the requirements and method of designing an ultrasonic transducer for directional sound are discussed.
