Harms of dispersive clay to hydraulic works and preventive measures

General situations of dispersive clay is briefly introduced as well as the properties of dispersive clay and its harms to hydraulic works.Combined with practical works and based on analysis of failure conditions of the dam with dispersive clay some common treatment measures are proposed in order to ensure the safety and stability of dams.
