Based on GIS and Voronoi,a method for helicopter rescue flight path planning in mountainous area was worked out in order to ensure the safety of helicopter rescue and shorten the rescue flight time.Blocking factor was introduced to analyze the weights allocation of flight distance in mountainous area and the total flight distance during the rescue helicopter path selection. The angle sleek tool is developed to fix the path planning including turning on an optimal path. The amended path is used to figure out a two-dimensional track, and the flight height was also amended according to helicopter flight performance. As a result, this two-dimensional track is converted into three-dimensional track. The results show that: when the path is fixed, the relationship between blocking factor and the weights of flight range in mountain area is linear correlation. The flight distance for the mountains part presented by three-dimensional track was shorted and the rescue flight time could be shortened in an effective way.
