Design of Coin Recognition System of Bus Coin Box

Using the reluctivity of coin as the main detecting parameter,the detecting sensor of coin based on the differential transformer was developed,which has the merit of being not influenced by the environmental factors such as temperature. The whole system based on the 20-pin single-chip microcontroller P87LPC764 and the 2-wire serial interface EEPROM 24WC02 is compact and inexpensive. The result shows that the coin classifying preciseness is 100% and fake coin identifying preciseness is 97%.
