Aim To study and realize an accounting system based on proxy servers. Methods After discussing the disadvantages of the accounting system based on router and studying the working principle of proxy servers, the module structure of accounting system based on proxy servers is brought forward and realized under the environment of Windows NT. Results The accounting management of campus networks was successfully developed by the accounting system based on proxy servers. Conclusion The accounting system based on proxy servers fundamentally eliminates the disadvantages of the accounting system based on router, and will be universally and practically available.
