This paper discusses technical procedure and system design for the integrated application of 3S technologies based on PDA in the second land investigation.The land investigation system based on PDA/RS/GIS/GPS RTK is divided into two subsystems-the field data gathering system(i.e.on pocket computer,PDA-GIS) and the office work data processing system(i.e.on desktop computer,PC-GIS).The structure and functional design of these two parts are described.The system hhas been applied in the Second Land Investigation work,which effectively reduces the workload and the investigation cycle,significantly improves investigation precision and enhances investigation achievement,and provides technical support for the investigating of land resource.
