Computer Simulation of Two-Dimensional Dendritic Crystal Growth in Metal Electrodepositing with Parallel Plate as Cathode

Haodong Zhang · Journal of Kunming University of Science and Technology · 2005

With the use of DLA model, a simulation of the dendritic crystal growth in the process of electrodeposition, which uses parallel plate electrode as cathode, is made through combining fractal geometry and electrochemisty. The simulation of different stages shows that fractal dimension grows rapidly at first and then stably with the increase of deposit particles. The simulation of speed indicates that fractal dimension enhances when migration of particles speeds up. The differences of these charts are also illuminated from fractal dimension.
