Application Research about the 2D bar Code in the anti-counterfeiting Technology on the Motor Vehicle License Plate

Considering the superiority of the 2D bar code in the anti-counterfeiting,this paper proposed to use the 2D bar code for improving the security features about the motor vehicle license plate.Firstly,production information of the motor vehicle license and message about the whole vehicle,signed digitally by the authorized digital certificates,is encrypted into 2D bar code.Then,by the means of laser engraving,the 2D bar code is stamped on the back of the motor vehicle plate.At last,the public security traffic management department verifies the legality of the 2D bar code.Experimental result shows that the proposed method has the virtue of simple,reliable,low cost,and so on,effectively improving the anti-counterfeiting features about the motor vehicle license plate.
