Measurement of Moisture Content in Laundry Detergent

Chu Yu · Journal of Xuzhou Institute of Architectural Technology · 2007

To measure the moisture content in a laundry detergent by different methods will result in different numerical values, which are certainly dissimilar to the theoretical value. In addition to the evaluated errors, the main problem is whether all of the crystal water in the laundry detergent can be gauged.Tests by different methods show that the free moisture and crystal water in a laundry detergent can't be absolutely measured with the traditional oven-dry method in current industry, while its moisture can be completely measured with Karl Fischer technique and the xylene distillation method.
