Research and Improvement on GEAR protocol in Wireless Sensor Network

We propose GEAR+,a routing protocol improving the algorithm to avoid void node area problem during the transmission of packets in GEAR.The simulation results show that the GEAR+ outperforms existing geographic routing protocols, such as GPSR and GEAR,in terms of the energy consumption and the end-to-end packet transmission rate.
