The Trend,Harm and Cause of Concept Generalization in the Information Science in China

On the basis of analyzing the evolution of the definitions for the concepts like information,information retrieval and information users,this essay discusses the problem of the concept generalization(the connotation of concepts is more and more abstract and the extension of them is wider and wider) growing in intensity in the Information Science and the possible damage caused by it.The essay also analyzes the reason why this problem comes into being to arouse people's attention to the scientific problem of the Information Science again.
