Joint source encryption coding based on CCSDS image data compression standard

The CCSDS IDC standard and SMS4 algorithm are separately designed for achieving the best performance of the overall system.However,they can not guarantee the transmission of the image data in the resources-limited network.We propose a joint source encryption algorithm based on CCSDS IDC standard.Randomized arithmetic coding is performed for the DC coefficients by using SMS4 sub-keys,and stream cipher for the AC coefficients.The simulation results show that this method has lower computational complexity and better security performance.
