The Design of Simple ROM Based on Multiplexer

A Multiplexer which is one of the most important IC digital combinational devices can be used to rewrite the ROM besides its traditional functions of data transfer and distribution and logic function generators. This article deals with the above functions in detail with practical examples of using medium scale integrated circuit multiplexers 74LS153 and 74LS151to rewrite the ROM. Using a simple chip and method to achieve a more complex circuit functions,reflects the importance of expansion of integrated device performance and usage.
