The Construction of Seafloor Digital Terrain Model Based on Multibeam Soundings

In this paper,we discuss a method based on inverse distance weighted(IDW) algorithm to construct seafloor digital terrain model(DTM) using multi-beam soundings,and the application of level of details(LOD) technology.It can draw the conclusion that DTM constructed by this method and managed by LOD is more accurate and more efficient than ordinary IDW.
