Pilot Study on the Accuracy of Fitting Height Measurement with GPS
Huang Shao-hu · Standardization of Surveying and Mapping · 2005
Using the data from both network measurements of GPS on level of C, D, and E and from the 4th order leveling of a city as samples, this paper takes GPS technique to measure fitting height, together with POWERADJ (software used for GPS adjustment computations) to perform pilot computations. It analyzes the accuracy of the fitting height derived from this method. The results indicates that both the inner and outer fitting accuracy will apparently get improved provided that the initial points are uniformly dispersed over the entourage and in the middle of the survey area, and if these points constitute an logical geometric GPS network.
