The Application of Natural Sciences in Three-Gorge Archaeology

Since 1980s, Chinese archaeology has been seeking a more comprehensive combination with physics, chemistry, biology, geography, initiating the application of natural sciences and technologies for the analysis of archaeological materials. The Three-gorge archaeology is the embodiment of multi-subjects’ efforts. It would be of great value for the creation and development of archaeology by reflecting the methods, ideas brought by natural sciences.
