Application of logarithmic amplifier AD8310 to acoustic monitoring system

The features of the signals received by acoustic monitoring system are analyzed,investigates methods used to com-press signals dynamically by means of logarithmic amplifier are researched.Operation principle of logarithmic amplifier AD8310 and its application in acoustic monitoring system are introduced.The corresponding circuit is designed.Lastly,it is also shown how to calculate the compensation for the propagation loss in compression.
