Research of Watermarking in the Frequency Domain

In this paper, a general study and summarize of digital watermarking is given firstly, including the background, conception, characteristic, sort, applications etc. Furthermore, a strong emphasis is laid on the research of watermarking in the frequency domain, including predominance (comparing with the space/time domain), current algorithms, foreground, existent handicap etc. Finally,the research direction of digital watermarking in future is indicated
