The pole shape optimization of the NMR imaging permanent magnets is presented in order to improve the homogeneity of the magnetic field in a large imaging volume between the poles. During the course of studying, numerical method of magnetic field computation and the theory of shape optimization are applied. Based on the improved Genetic Algorithms, the most excellent structure of the pole shape is designed and relatively uniform magnetic field in a large imaging volume is abtained.
