Virtual Instrument Function Extension of Traditional Instruments

This paper describes the whole process of designing hardware flat and application software of Virtual Instrument system based on GPIB.A hardware application method and programming considerations to GPIB interface system are introduced.It is analyzed in detail that how to extend the function of traditional instruments by virtual instrument technology, and an applied front panel and block diagram example is demonstrated.
