High Resolution Array Processing for Direction-of-Arrival Estimation of Underwater Multiple Targets by Computer Simulation Method
Jianguo Huang · Acta Simulata Systematica Sinica · 2002
This paper studies the statistical performance of several well-known DOA (Direction of Arrival) estimators of underwater multiple targets by the computer simulation, which offers an important idea for the underwater array processing. These estimators include the signal subspace methods, ESPRIT and WSF. They possess good statistical performance. We study the resolvability and the bearing estimation precision of these estimators based on our work by simulation. The resolution probability curves and mean square error curves for two and three targets respectively are obtained. These simulation results are important reference to the DOA estimation of underwater multiple targets.
