Reseach on 3D Reconstruction Methods of Temporal Bone Based on Sliced Images of Human Body

3D reconstruction of human temporal bone based on sliced images of human body from American Visual Human Project(VHP) is introduced.The methods in the process of reconstruction including image registration,contour extraction,construction of common contour between different organs,surface smoothing of 3D models are described.The models obtained prove that the methods are feasible and applicable.The 3D models reconstructed provide a basis for surgery programming,prosthetic dentistry and surgical simulation.
