Periodical database is an important part of document data bank in library,also is the core of the construction of document service system.In order to provide better service for readers,it is imperative to take the retrospective database building of Chinese periodicals.The writer gives a detailed introduction of a whole set of methods of retrospective database building of Chinese periodicals.At the same time,he also raises some issues worthy to pay attention.
