The paper introduces an application of hierarchical knowledge-based expert system in salary calculation procedure.It illustrates the hierarchical knowledge modeling method and knowledge representation,and describes the reasoning flow of at- tribute,rule and CBR.By this method,the complexity,variability and extendibility of salary computation can be solved.
