Energy efficient time synchronization algorithm for WSN

Considering the energy consumption of time synchronization problem in wireless sensor network,an energy efficient wireless sensor network time synchronization algorithm is presented,which combines the features of TPSN and RBS protocol.Using of the broad-cast nature of wireless channel,all the nodes in the broadcast domain of the two reference nodes can achieve synchronization by monitoring the packets exchange between the reference nodes.A synchronization node selection method is proposed,which extend the synchroni-zation algorithm to multi-hop network.Experiments show that the algorithm reduces the energy consumption while keeping the synchroni-zation accuracy.
