On the Latest Development of Studying the Effect of Gestures on Children's Learning

There exists a complex relationship between gesture and learning and scholars mainly use mathematical equation、symmetrical balance task、the task of conservation to research the effect of teachers' gesture and children's gesture on children's learning.This article summarized the results in behavioral science as follows:gesture reveals the individual's implicit knowledge so that the instructors could find out the level of children's readiness for the task;children using gestures could learn more easily;gestures can relieve one's cognitive burden and save the cognitive resources;gestures could facilitate the presentation of questions;the teaches' gesture is helpful to students' learning.
