EVALUATION OF LINK OPERATION MODES ON AIR GROUND VHF DATA LINK

The link operation modes are closely related to system performance, capacity and redundancy of air ground VHF data link. The effects of two existing different link operation modes (CAT A and CAT B) on performance of VHF data link are presented. The analysis is based on embedded Markov chain model. Simulation examples are given and compared . A new and effective link operation mode is proposed.
