This paper first presents a novel intrusion detection system called the adaptive fuzzy intrusion detection system , then introduces an adaptive model which is used to collect the host based original facts The model divides the host computer's status into different levels Different levels use different audit policies Finally, this paper describes this model with a Petri net and analyzes its performance
