Water-quality Monitoring System Based on GIS

In this paper,taking the embedded system carrier eBoxII as the core of communication layer based on the Windows CE.The data information such as the various types of water quality which monitoring from underlayer and the degree of advantage and disadvantage and so on,is transmitted to local server by using embedded Windows CE applications.And an integrated GIS management software is developed on the basis of the local server,so that the water-quality information can be displayed,alert be triggered,and the database be supported based on the visual of operation by map.This mechanism can be applied to other systems which use data sampling and need GIS in their management software.
