DEA-based International Comparative Study for the Operating Efficiency of Chinese Sporting Productions Listed Companies

Based on the published financial data,this paper collected the annual report 2010 of 15 Chinese and international listed sporting goods companies by using data envelopment analysis(DEA) method.We looked into their operational efficiency from the perspective of financial management,and found that seven non-DEA efficient DMU were all Chinese enterprises which indicates the Chinese sporting productions companies are of lower overall operating efficient when compared with other international leading companies.Furthermore,we made a projection analysis for these non-DEA efficient companies,in order to provide a novel method for evaluating the operating efficiency of sporting productions companies,find a more efficient input and output volume and support a corresponding improved methods,thus,seek the best promotion for the China's sporting productions companies.
