Along with the rapid development of communication technology, growing demand for the transmission of data services;at the same time, users constantly improve requirements on the network quality of service, high availability is increasingly becoming one of the most important features of high-performance networks.Link aggregation technology is one of the very important ways to improve the availability of network systems, the technology provides the internal redundancy mechanism of transmission line.According to IEEE 802.3ad standards,we conduct an in-deep analysis on the port selection logic for link aggregation based on one of key technologies of link aggregation control protocol. From this point of view, proposing a new set of operational mechanisms for the port adding link aggregation group, that is followed the preemptive principle of port selection logic, solving the issues of the dynamic update of link and switching packet loss. Finally,by testing laboratories, validate the flexibility and effectiveness of the new mechanism.
