Denial of Service(DoS) is one of the most popular attack type on Internet,which has various attack methods and makes extensive influence.DoS,especially Distributed Denial of Service(DDoS) brings a very serious threat to the security of the Internet.The losing was immeasurable while under such attack.The paper analyses the theory and types of the DDoS and gives the defense mechanisms against specifically DDoS.
