Design and research of lightning protection system for maritime AIS stations

This paper provides an analysis of the configuration and characteristics of AIS station located in a lighthouse under Maritime Authority, the risk assessment of lightning attack, taking into account the weather condition and geological position of the AIS station. It also provides some suggestions for preventing the lightning attack and ensuring the normal working condition of the AIS.
